Undead Infection

From the ancient and moldering cities of the eastern United States, the Undead Infection slowly spreads their taint across the new Earth. The lesser undead, little smarter than wolves, hunt the cities and the wilds - threatening all who stray from the protection of the few scattered Apoc settlements. While, the older and greatest of the undead haunt the fallen cities, amassing slavering hordes of their lesser kin before they too set out to reap wanton destruction and hopefully spread the Infection to another settlement.
Infections win conflicts by overcoming their enemies through sheer numbers. The lesser units are cheap, but surprisingly strong or agile and this allows Infection players to neutralize stronger units through mob tactics. Once targets are born to the ground by the vile first wave, the greater undead follow to seal their victim's fate. And the greater undead also have a number of unique powers that enable a player to handle trickier foes. Infection players have to accept losing a few of their minions to their opponents, but even a fallen minion serves to feed the Infection that follows.

Shadows of the Mind, Part 6

Shadow flew through the air where the creature had been. He hit the ground hard and lashed out, quickly striking down the remaining undead. The swamp had grown quiet; hardly a noise could be heard. The new creature had disappeared, right in front of his eyes and Shadow had no clue where it had gone. He stood for a second, his breath haggard and sharp, weakly stretching out his senses. It seemed darker than it had been. Shadow wasn’t sure how or when that had happened, but he was fairly sure he had been the one responsible.
A light suddenly interrupted his contemplations. The L'na turned, slightly relaxed from his attack posture. This light was a familiar one. "An interesting and unseen development. Quite a few actually. I had been expecting anything of this nature." Shadow recognized the voice easily enough. It was the guide, speaking through its odd portal of light.

Wretch

Two arms, two legs, a head, and a pair of piercing orange eyes — wretches are humanoid, yet far from human now. At least, no one in their right mind who sees one of these creatures would mistake it for the human it once was. There is no question where the wretch got its name: it is the living definition of vile and despicable.
The creature’s body is emaciated, yet muscles stretch tight over its entire frame. The proportions of a wretch are off in other ways as well. Fingers and toes now end in razor-sharp talons capable of ripping into all but the hardest metals. Their arms are also longer than those of a human, allowing them use an ape-like lope to quickly run down prey.

Shadows of the Mind, Part 5

There was no moon in the sky. The few stars that could be seen were quickly covered by a thick blanket of storm clouds. Lightning flashed in the night sky, but no rain fell, and the heat of the late summer, early autumn was oppressive. Private Smith cursed his luck. It had been a relatively quiet night in the swamps. No Gree Gree or Churl raids. No roaming groups of undead. Nothing, except this heat and the swarm of mosquitoes. The two other soldiers in his patrol were yawning, stretching their legs. Smith, however, was on edge. He had felt like he was being watched the whole night, and once he thought he had seen some huge, cat like beast prowling the edges of their temporary camp. Twice he had heard a growl, but nothing had attacked their group. And in a swamp like this, if you heard growling but didn't see anything, it was best not to go looking for the source.
Johnson, the senior officer of this patrol, finally stood up from the stump he was sitting on. "Smith, Berns, lets get going. Nothings going to happen tonight, and if it is, its someone else's problem from here.." Smith let out a sigh of relief. The soldiers packed up their gear and started down the small, elevated dirt road that led to the base. Despite the fact that they were heading back to one of the safest places in the region, Smith was still on edge, and could swear that he could feel eyes staring at his back.

Untold on the Aimee Stanton Show @ Gencon
We've been waiting to show you folks this for some time!! While we were at Gencon, we were approached by a very nice lady, Aimee Stanton, who was impressed by Untold. At first we thought she wanted a demo, but we were surprised to discover that she wanted to feature us on her Youtube Show! So, we sat down for a few minutes and talked a bit about Untold. Please excuse Ashy's voice in the video - he had nearly lost it by this point in the convention, he'd been talking so much!
