"Note the claws and fangs. Do not think me solely a peacemaker, two-legs!"
Character Description/Notes: Among his L'na clan, Apenimon has always been the most adventurous, the most curious and the most attuned to his inner beast. So it came as no surprise to no-one when it was selected as a Child of Zu, bearing the blessing of the Great Beast-One with pride and contentment. However, not long after that auspicious night, two foul events befell the sharp-eyed Apenimon: the attack upon his ancestral forest home and the initial, yet clarion-clear call, of the VOICE.
Apenimon was away from his clan-land on a vision quest upon the Starsand Steppes, searching for his next step along his progression towards Oneness with Ai, when he felt the screams of his brood-brothers and sisters scream forth into his mind.
As formidable as his powers were, Apenimon was not quick enough to save them. Upon his arrival to his home, he found it decimated and devastated – the land stripped bare of every living thing. Whatever foul and alien thing (for Apenimon could not imagine any thing borne from his home-world could or would willingly be so utterly destructive) that had done this had even taken the corpses of his brood-siblings with it.
Only a scarce few clues held his focus: unusual, deep footprints with five, odd circular depressions at their head and surprisingly lacking in claws; accompanied by an unusual item: what Apenimon could only identify as a large, chipped black fang with odd-smelling, rotting flesh wrapped around its base.
The twilight could not imagine what sort of odd beast dropped its blackened teeth and lacked claws, but he that fateful night, Apenimon swore to find and enact justice upon the thing that had perpetrated this heinous act. No sooner had he made this vow than did he begin to hear the VOICE, calling him to follow.
Tactics: Apenimon uses his skills of mind and morph, charm and claw, to infiltrate his enemies defenses (whether they be physical, mental, or otherwise) and then use what he finds there against them. Against those he perceives as evil, he is ruthless; towards all others, he is best described as an even-headed mediator; eternally trying to soothe hurt spirits and resolve conflicts.
