"How do you fight the Hrunt?

How would you fight an earthquake?

         A volcano?

A herd of rabid, charging rhinos?

You don’t fight the Hrunt, you run from them."

            - Egyptian High-bred.

Many believe the Churl to be largest and most fearsome native warriors ever to walk the face of the planet. However, as the Churl themselves will tell you, there is a race of warriors that dwarf the mighty Churls and make them look rather tame. This race of giants wander the deserts of North Africa and the Middle East, causing the very ground beneath their feet shake as they march out of their arid homes into the lands of men. These are the H’runt.

The origins of the H’runt are shrouded in mystery. It is theorized by IDF and EAF scientists that the H’runt are the results of a genetic experiments by some North African or Arabian power shortly before the Event, similar to the Krieg of Europe and the Slys-ayers of South America. However, there is no substantial evidence for this theory. Rumors of underground bunkers hidden deep beneath the Sahara filled with other strange creatures akin to the H'runt abound, but no trace of these places has ever been located.

The H’runt themselves believe that the Sun God, distraught over the vile ways of humanity, smote the Earth. And then, upon seeing the steadfast virtues of the Rhinoceros, rose the lowly beast to sentience and granted it power over the elements. The Sun God then charged the H’runt with protection over the world, and promised them a blessed "Green Land", a land of lush vegetation and water in abundance. To this day, hordes of H’runt spill out of Africa, railing against those who despoil and plunder the land and searching for this fabled "Green Land".

The H’runt are a strong, sturdy race. Similar to rhinos themselves, the H’runt have thick skin, strong frames, and two horns growing on their snout and forehead. H’runt possess extremely sharp hearing and excellent senses of smell, but their eyesight is incredibly poor. It is believed that the H’runt are also very sensitive to vibrations, and as such can almost "see" through sensing vibrations in the ground. If true, this would certainly provide an explaintion to the H’runt’s uncanny and excellent reflexes. The H’runt can move at surprising speeds over short distances, but generally cannot maintain those speeds over long distances. However, blessed with great stamina and endurance, the H’runt are more than able to maintain a slow but steady run for nearly three days continuously if pressed.

H’runt warriors are incredibly strong, far stronger than any Churl. However, if the warriors of the H’runt are classified as deadly, then the H’runt Shamans are simply natural disasters. Wielding control over powerful elemental magic, particularly Earth and Fire, H’runt Shamans can level cities and fortresses, raise mountains and burn deserts.

Tactics: The H’runt are vicious and savage fighters, believing that the best fight is one that ends quickly. H’runt are also committed foes, and once battled is joined, they will continue to fight until their enemies or themselves are dead. If their foes are "despoilers", then the H'runt ferocity is doubled; as they hold nothing but contempt and hatred for those who rape and pillage the land. H’runt warriors favor heavy, blunt weapons but can fight just as well unarmed. H’runt Shamans favor Earth and Fire magic, crushing and burning their enemies under the fury of the elements themselves.

The best thing to do when fighting H’runt is simply not to do so. However, if you MUST fight a H’runt, your best bet is to move as quickly as you can, hit as hard as you can (particularly from behind) and then get as far away as you can immediately.
