I wonder if we can get a cut... :P
I would hate to have to do an environmental impact study on something that will eat its way across an unknown landscape. All in all I guess it would be less harmful than driving humvees around. I'm all for robots in the military as long as well trained humans are making the killing decisions.
Think about one of these from an adventure standpoint - a huge EATR that has been in existence since the Event, it would be like a "dragon of old"... :)
Especially from a Churl/Hi-bred standpoint. "These things have been here for at least as long as we have--and prolly know more about this blasted earth than we do. Your best bet is to part ways and hope it never catches sight, nor scent--nor sound--of you for a thousand meters if you want to live to tell your COs about it." -Veteran Hi-bred's comments on an EATR sighting.
Hey - I may want to use that quote on a card, is zat cool?
Go for it. Reminds me of the Planwalker days, with its quote submissions (which might be cool once Splintered Serenity gets going around).
Thanks!

I checked the military claimed parallel development!
"A man must sometimes laugh at himself or go mad. Few realize it. That is why there are so many madmen in the world."
