This is the UPU thread for Tennessee
Players:
Benraven28 - Cleveland
LigHt - Chattanooga
Ryadic - Chattanooga
Falcon - Summertown
Or, why not create a new faction! Something that might actually make it into Untold canon! Make it something that would fit into your area in the Untold mythos - so, for instance, you folks in TN might be a Churl tribe, while someone from LA might be a Gree Gree village!!! The more active the "real-world" faction, the greater the chance they make it into the actual game!
We could have contests, meet-ups, all sorts of stuff based off this idea! :D
There is all sorts of cool things we could do with these...
Awesome idea Ben! I think this will be really good for organizing events in area.
Now to Light and Benraven, can either of you GM? Maybe we can start looking into setting up some games.
As I posted in the other thread, I have a few friends that may be interested in this game as well. Two of them have already demoed it at imagicon and one of those two demoed it with me at playoncon.
Benraven is a student of the Ashy school of GMing. ;) He's a very good and promising student, too. :D
Also, if any of you guys can make it, we'll be @ CrisisCon in Huntsville this weekend - be sure and keep an eye on our Convention Schedule
ASoG Sophomore at your service. ;) LOL, He's right, though, that I've learned pretty much all I know about GMing sitting at his table, both in front and behind the screen. And I've been pretty honored to have come under his fantastic style of GMing/Story Telling. Let's just say those finals with Ashy running two "colorful" characters or a multi-actioned ant-centaur makes you reach deep into your bag o' lessons... :P
Glad to see you on the boards again, Ryadic! I can GM and, given some more practice, LigHt could be a great alternate GM, too--he's been taking the Distance Learning from Ashy's School through me. ;) And I'll say he has a flair for making things interesting all on his own. :D
So yeah, we can start planning some games for when we are up there, and figure out where and when would be the best times to run a game. Any setting preferences that you guys want to run or demos you remember you ran through? We can come up with most anything, even on the fly if necessary.
And if you can, come down to CrisisCon, so we can meet up and introduce ourselves. Not sure if LigHt will come, but I will be there and would be glad to meet you! :)
I won't be able to make it to the con, unfortunately. I'm going out of town for a much needed vacation with the prewife.
As far as planning days, I'll have to get back to you on that. Right now I'm on first shift, but a week from today I'm moving to third shift so my schedule will be very hectic until it settles in. I'm not sure how I'm going to work it, though.
I do know that Wednesdays will not work because I'm already apart of a board game group and that's when we meet up.
Feel free to use these boards as a place to organize yer games. Let me know if there's anything we can do to provide assistance! :D
Sounds like good weekend plans to me. Hope you enjoy time with the fiance.
We can wait on the planning. I don't have my class schedule yet nor the workload that goes with it, so I won't know for a little while how that will change things. But as things settle down, we can begin to look at days we could meet. But I figure we'll hopefully come up with something.
And thanks, Ashy, for the offered support! Tis appreciated, suren. :D
The only way it will get done is for everyone to forget/abandon all your responsibilities and duties and just play Untold as your life falls to shreads... It would be fun while it lasted!
Alright. Back from vacation. I'm slowly getting accustomed to third shift, but it will be an ongoing transition, I'm sure.
But I come with great news! I have one friend that is highly interested and he may even be able to get his girlfriend to join in. And this friend is not one that I was referring to in my post earlier in the thread.
As far as my schedule goes and his schedule goes, Sunday's would work best for us. Around evening time. I work from 11:30 PM - 8:00 AM Sunday morning. I'll sleep when I get home and awake around 3 - 5 PM that evening.
Monday evenings would works for me as well, but my friend won't be able to do that.
Also, I would like to note that neither of us have a core set yet. I was saving my money for vacation and don't have the funds to purchase it right now and my friend wants to see if this is something he'll be interested in before actually making a purchase.
I sent my other friends an e-mail letting them know that Sundays are the days that works best for me and my friend, so I'll keep you guys updated with what he says.
So to recap:
Me = Still interested
Friend + 1
Sunday evenings
No core set just yet
Still trying to arrange with other friends
Benraven and I were able to play a good many games off of my starter set alone, and now he has a lot more than I, so until you purchase your own we can all share! Plus it would be a safe way for someone to try out the game to see if he'd be interested or not without buying.
That's what I did with DnD 4E. Bought PHP 1 and 2 and DMG and we never play it. I tried to get them to play it. They enjoyed it, but it was just too... much. That's why I love this game. It's just so simplified.
They were more interested in the RP part rather than battle part, which surprised me.
Edit:
The other two guys that I mentioned should be fine for Sundays as well.
So we should be ready whenever you guys are.
My e-mail is dicoratoryan@gmail.com, so feel free to e-mail me there to arrange it.
Hope to hear from you guys!
Just checking in on this.
Hey guys. I was lurking the forums and found this. Thought I would throw my hat in. Our group hasn't officially played yet, but we have a hefty shipment of cards on the way and everyone is super psyched for it.
We are located in Middle Tennessee. Specifically in Summertown, which is about an 45min north of the AL line, and an hour and a half south of Nashville. Our gaming group is spread throughout the state however. Mostly in Nashville and Memphis.
We play LOTS of board/card games. Current favorites are Nightfall and Ascension.
We always have a campaign of D&D 4e going, and currently involved in a campaign for Savage Worlds: Rippers.
Awesome, Falcon! Thanks so much for posting and playing! :) You're pretty close - maybe we can meet up sometime. :)

We have a state monopoly. Lol...need to change that! How about we call ourselves the Screaming Dreaming? Or maybe something that blends locale with an Untold faction?
A frustrating fusion of Elan and Durkon. Shake the 8 ball and you may get some fantastic advice or some clueless answer. What will it be for you today? Intelligence dump stat or Wisdom modifier?
Claims to fame/favorite Untold lines: The real reason klik can't swim. / Nonlethal Nuisance: Established since Alpha Playtesting. /How do you want to describe your Knock Out Gas?
