So, we want to know what time of year you folks think would be best for an Untold Con. Consider everything: weather, your personal schedule/budget, holidays, other cons, etc. We're thinking an Untold Con would involve some workshops, Q&A sessions, brainstorming sessions, some outside activities (i.e. hiking, kayaking, etc...) and of course: gaming!
Sound off in the poll and then post here and let us know your reasoning!

That's why I voted for Fall....(shivers)...creepy...
Anyways, Spring would be a close second. My concern would be avoiding the holidays, when everyone is visiting their families and the like.
Yea, true dat, Ben...
My vote is either towards to start of fall or RIGHT (a week or two) before schools start up.
Fall or Spring, definitely. I've tried camping in winter, and it's *rough*. Likewise, you're not dragging me outside during the Summer unless we're holding this thing in the Arctic Circle.
Amusingly enough, I actually have a recommended location for a potential "Untold Con" as well - Alabama's DeSoto State Park. Having been up around that area for an Audubon workshop, it has many different lodging options (ranging from cabins to in-park motel rooms) as well as many trails and even meeting space. It's also literally within walking distance to Little River Canyon, where kayaking and other water activities are available.
Just my own personal suggestion as to where we could hold this thing.
I agree with MHM, a Southern Summer is blistering, unless you were interested in doing it down here at some of the coastal campgrounds.
I would also kick out there the coastal areas down here, as well as Gatlinburg Tennessee
Excellent suggestions for spots - keep 'em coming... Message the other folks on the boards - tell them to put in their 2 UP as well! :D
Only 7 votes in so far...come on folks and let your voice be heard! :D
I've voted summer - very hard to work around school sometimes, but it can be done.
Always loved Hatteras, and grew up in Virginia Beach - the latter is uber-touristy, but both are not sweltering in summer usually.
I voted winter, thinking that January-March always seems a kind of dead time in schedules. However, summer would be fine, too. The big time I would NOT want it is fall. With school starting back and so many other festivals, cons, etc. it just seems too busy. It is a lovely time of year, but everyone else thinks so too...
Keep those votes comin' in! :D

I voted for fall - it's my favorite time of the year, it's at the end of the con season and it's perfect for doing things outside or inside. :)
