Just wanted to let all our playtesters out there know - we've revised the Primer (no more Primer + Delta Primer anymore). Please feel free to use this in all your playtests!

No prob!

I've already noticed a few minor formatting issues; we'll get those fixed up ASAP. Please let me know if you see any issues/problems/etc...

It's going to be the weekend

It's going to be the weekend before I get anything done with Untold, but I do hope to go over it, especially now that it's consolidated again. I was dreading combing over two primers before.

this semester I'm taking 3 writing intensive classes, and all of them are reading intensive., but I will do my best to not slack on my beta testing, I really want Untold to be the best it can be. This weekend I'll easily have time for some more. :)

No problem at all...

No prob, Jordan - focus on school first - that's rightly your 1st priority, but we sincerely thank you for your commitment to making Untold as awesome as it can be. Looking forward to your feedback, as ever!

Also, just wanted to let you know - we're creating a special set of races/aspects/powers and a separate focus group within our playtesters to look specifically at the issue you've brought to the fore: VIT and MAG, especially. :) Just wanted to let you know that we *DO* listen and respond to our wonderful playtesters! :D

haha, well I am very glad to

haha, well I am very glad to hear that. Bizzarely I feel bad, because we are only 1 play test group, hardly a good sample size. We may be blowing the issue too much out of hand, we can get very over the top when it comes to combat. I am specifically using people from my gaming group that are technically minded towards systems, primarily because I'm a firm believer that good roleplaying can be put into any system, so why not go for crunch!

That being said, I see you guys have avoided any kind of social mechanic, no talking skills, no "social" traits, etc. (at least in our cards).

There is nothing wrong with that at all, but (maybe in another thread) it would be interesting to have a discussion about that. I've often found having "social" mechanics either don't work, or are abuse able (Player A made more successes on his charisma roll then your willpower roll, you WANT to go along with his plan. Meanwhile Player B says "No my character doesn't" and a nasty argument ensues).

Not at all...

You confirmed some lurking suspicions that we'd had earlier on; while I still believe that alot of it is because of your min/maxing; it's still something that needs to be investigated. :)

And, we do have social mechanics, you just don't have those cards. :P
