I'm having really good luck with using 3x3 card pages and 3-ring binders. If you count the checklist/QRC included in each deck (some decks have 2 of these), then the number of cards in every deck I've bought thus far is a multiple of 9, so each deck fills up a number of card pages perfectly. (Actually, the number of cards is a multiple of 18 in every case, but you get the point.) I can organize the cards with the appropriate checklist and quickly make sure all cards make their way home after a game session. I've collected the blue cards in one group (for the most part), minions and Battle factions together, and so on, making it easy and quick for me to find the correct card during a game.
And in preparing for the game I ran earlier this week, we collected the characters into some empty card pages. We drew the characters up at home, so this trick allowed us to transport the characters on two pages each, and when we got to TBS Comics I could just hand the pages out and everyone could unpack their character quickly and start playing. Afterwards, I wanted to return the cards to their original slots but knew I needed to be able to recreate these characters quickly in the future. At first I was going to write a list of the abilities down when I realized a simpler solution: I could photocopy the cards in the pages and produce "instant" character records. So I now have copies of Chip, Echo, Victoria and 5734M in my binder along with the cards, ready to be put back together when we revisit those characters and their adventures.
I'll scan the pages and make PDFs tomorrow. I'm rather pleased with the idea that I can have a record of any character while still returning the cards to their original sleeves. < /OCD> :P
