Ok, this has come up a couple of times now and I think we've gotten to the bottom of it...
The Issue: Sometimes when a customer enters items into their cart on the Untold Store, the orders seem to duplicate, or they seem to "get stuck" on a different (older) order number.
The Reason: It's just the way the system works. Once a customer goes to their cart and presses "Proceed to Checkout" they are given an order number. If at any time they cancel, close the screen, etc that number remains in the system, but it will never be completed.
If later on, they go back to their cart and all the items are still there - but when they press "proceed to checkout" they are given a new number. Every time the "Proceed to Checkout" button is clicked, a new number is generated by the system. Any time they cancel or exit the process after proceeding to checkout the number remains uncompleted in limbo - forever.
The Solution: Only click the "Proceed to Checkout" button when you're ready to complete the order.
