Description:
Grey Eyes is a veteran among the NAU with a somewhat confusing past, at least to anyone but him. He has been with the network of bases for what seems time immemorable, his wrinkles almost at deep as his scars, both testifying to the hard Apoc life. While he may not be able to relive his glory days in the flesh, at least in battle, he can recount them, reincarnate them if you will, into powerful stories. These tales draw countless hybrid, churl, klik and L'na to his door in search of knowledge of things that lurk on the recesses of the world's mind. People have learned to fear the old man's sagacity and trickery, fearing a deeper power lurks within the folds of his mottled skin. To most, he is simply deep fountain of wisdom hidden in a modest frame. And Grey Eyes likes to keep it that way.

Arazar Fel'Shan, servant of the Lords of the Veil, Keeper of the Fell Gates.
Arazar holds a unique place within the Veil hierarchy. It knows a great deal of the Lords' secrets and serves as something of an intelligence master within the Veil, rooting out traitors and serving to bring more to the service of the Lords. However, Arazar has its own designs for the future of the Veil. With an eye towards gaining more power and eventually toppling the Lords' power, Arazar has developed its own counter intelligence network as well as gathered a small group of elite and powerful followers. It is yet unclear how many events and catastrophies Arazar can lay claim to.

Kilugoth Uruguth, The Dark Water, The Death Tide
Kilugoth, known as the Dark Water or the Death Tide among Islander Churls, has grand designs on the world. Master of a large army of Lophs and other under water abominations, Kilugoth's goal is to cover the globe and any where else it can reach in dark and cold water. Organizing raids that eventually formed colonies, Kilugoths forces have penetrated deep into the main land. The Loph network of information, as such, is vast and not only holds news of the events above the surface, but secrets from the depths as well. Kilugoth is not a creature to be taken lightly, and one should not be fool enough to believe that they are safe from its scaly reach as long as they are not near water. Kilugoth has eyes and ears everywhere, and there is speculation that it has formed some sort of alliance with the Lords of the Veil as well as other Flux Horrors across the globe.

Background: Nells was always a severe and stoic child. Many of his fellow NAU say that it was seeing his parents brutally attacked before his 7 year old eyes; others say he was simply born that way. Regardless, something deep, dark and powerful lies silent beneath the man's dark grey eyes. It is those eyes that gave him his name - they're the same color as 10 penny nails and when he stares you down, it certainly feels like someone's pinning you to the wall with a nail-gun.
However, don't take that to mean that "Nails" is a gun-toting Rambo - nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, "Nails" refuses to carry a weapon of any kind, preferring to act as a medic and diplomat for any NAU detachment to which he is assigned. While many other NAU consider his "pacifist" attitude to be something of a detriment to their military lifestyle, the NAU brass has seen how his cool head, detached mindset and the penchant for talking first and taking other actions second have spared many more lives than even the biggest gun could have ever done. Further, his ability to quickly access injuries and repair them has brought many an boy-in-fatigues home safely.
Do not take "Nails" for a pansy, however, as when backed into a corner, he has the uncanny ability to strike -- and strike hard. "Nails" is a pacifist only to a certain point; he will defend himself if pressed and when he hits, he makes sure that he only has to hit once.
