New thread on RPG.net

Hey, all. Come on over to rpg.net and add your two cents about how Untold/SS could be a good alternative to 4e Gamma World!

The thread is losing steam over there, and I can only do so much without someone to talk to :P

Any and all welcome to jump in and get this going at the top of the list again.

OK read through the thread. Wasn't sure how to contribute since I don't have much GW experience. I did respond to the gimmick comment "If you like card games you'll like this." I am the complete opposite, I dislike Magic and others, but really enjoy Untold.

Hopefully my response will re-energize the thread. I didn't want to write a long missive, but gave some nice hooks for discussion. We'll see.

Thanks, Dennis. Yes, it got the thread going. There was a follow up post to yours, which allowed me to respond and kick it back up the list this morning. Over 400 views at this point, so hopefully a lot of people are following the links.

I do not like when personal issues invade what should just have been a fun and civil discussion. The religious comment was uncalled for.

OTOH - it's a hot thread at almost 1,000 views (combined with the thread in teh D&D section, I think there have been more than 1000 total).

I didn't want to discount Ben's opinions, that is how he feels right, wrong, or indifferent. That being said, I wanted offer a counter point opinion and address some of the generalizations. I've been busy this week, so it took longer than I would have liked. It is a shame to see such hard feelings aired on a public forum.

Yes, it was disappointing to have someone reach that stage and air it out in public. Dennis handled it very well. This caught me very much off-guard. Have no idea what is going on.

As to the threads on rpg.net themselves, I think they have run their course and I'll let them lapse. They had over 1,500 views combined, so if even 10% followed the links (accounting for multiple views by the same people), that's 150 people who took a look at Untold.
