One of the key goals that may come as a shock and secret to some of you Untold fans, but WM crafted this system around a different setting we hold dear (said as a posthumous WM and avid Misfit). The Misfits were a band of oddball heroes and adventurers out to save their world, Urth, from evil, and D&D 3.5 time constraints for character leveling and creation were a hassle, to put it mildly (Ever try to restat a 13 level special class cleric after his gear gets zapped into mundanity?). Ashy wanted this style of streamline gaming BADLY as our main DM, so he and Nate set out to this monumental and wonderfully enriching task of building a fast, furious, and fun game that we know and love--and that truly reflects the nature of Misfits as well as Untold. And in light of that mostly unknown but highly enjoyed legacy, my question to the current WM is this: How far away is a possible revival of the Misfits setting and campaign? What in the way of powers, creatures, characters, races and abilities would you foresee as necessary to craft the beloved setting to renew the adventure? I realize the fan-base is well beyond the eight blessed souls who would laugh and cry (sometimes at once) at the game table, but here's to hoping to see another sun under the One's sky. :)

Sincerely,
Tsidkenu Loreas / Benraven

Hmmm....

Well, first of all, I don't think I would say it was one of the key goals in creating Untold; it was definitely one of the initial goals. However, once we saw what Untold was (and could become) the game kinda took on a life of it's own... ;)

That being said, I don't think we're as far off as one might think. We're working on a little secret project (yes, ANOTHER one) at the moment that would really get us close. But in terms of general Power Cards, we've got a lot of them already. Let's take our fearful leader, Jekka, for instance:

Female Half-orc
Race Card (could be a Churl, but a Half-orc's needed)
Body 7
Soul 5
Four Arms
Tentacles
Silver Sword (Really need a special card for Sparkspitter)
Shrug It Off
Take the Pain
Leaping
Rager

A few other Hot Swaps and yer done! ;)

Cool

Yeah, I figured that rewording fits better with the intention--it was the seeds, not the fruit, in this great adventure. :)

Groovy. I wanted to get your (y'all's) perspective, as I've been doodling character conversion ideas on the side. Jekka is a fun one I'm glad to see moving into fruition. :)

Thanks for the update, teaser and such, Ashy!

Might be fun...

It might actually be fun to try and build each of them, actually! It's been so long, I can't remember everything all those crazy-awesome characters could do!
