Wondering if and or what folks are using in their home games.
During our beta games we had a hodgepodge of awesome stuff going on. I used some WizKids Mage Knight figures for Klik and there are some other awesome figures to fill many roles there.
As far as scenery Ashy had a bunch of HeroScape tiles that worked wonders.
The thought that lead me to the post, I saw Hirst Arts has some killer molds for SpaceHulk themed boards.
ok, spark started. Run with it, what is everyone else doing?
I tried using race cards to show marching order and relative position. However, I laid the cards flat on the table as opposed to raiding a board game for stands. I wouldn't recommend this for players looking to exactly graph out how far away everything is, but using the cards for characters is a great visual aid and keeps the story flowing.
And it means every Race Card is a ready-made mini! (Sorta)...
Great idea for con play, helps pull people in and keep track of each other, great visual aid !!
Yea, Con play for sure, or...regular play! I may do this from now on in my game... :D
Instead of using the Race card ('cause as soon as its way over there I'll need to look at something on it stat-wise...) itself, use the artwork to make half-size stand-ups ala SJG's "Cardboard Heroes" or PIG's "Disposable Heroes". These could be a downloadable PDF freebie, or printed 2 or 3 per card and used as promo items at cons.
Ya, we're actually working on something just like that. :)
A real gamer would have cut the illustration out of the card first! ;-)
Not MY cards!! :P
Isn't that what the second set of cards is for?
Cut the cards?
*shudder*
::chuckle::
Church, you're exactly right! Quick, everyone go order doubles so you can cut up one set for minis! :P
Exactly what I was implying. You guys should hire me as your marketing consultant!;-)
Generate a huge demand for Untold in Canada and we just might! :P
The other thing you were suggesting would be prefered if mini's couldn't be acquired. Although, I am looking at Reaper to see what I can find...
They run a contest in December where one winner gets a custom-made mini based on their favorite character.
Thanks for the feedback, Ben! :) We're still working on the other... :D
Boy, right while we are talking about them!

AH Heroscape... you should see the crazyness we have done for maps outta those wonderful things. LOVE UM!
Er, Hall...
Buzzregog = Dave.
He's in our game, dude. ;P
Yes... this I know... that was directed at those that are not apart of our game where Heroscape usage is legendary. :P
Ah, sorree.
NP... Untold HeroScape....I'll make a phone call!!! :D that would be very cool!
So would it be within the realm of fair use for me to take my entire set of minion cards, scan them into my computer, shrink them to half-size, and print them out for paper hero counters?
I just thought I'd ask permission before I accidentally stepped on a copyright law that I am unfamiliar with.

At ConCarolinas, Hall had an amazing idea, so we gave it a try during our "WM ONLY" Con game:
I think it ROX on TOAST!
