If I get the Starter Set

Partially answered my own question: looking at the Starter Set details, I see it is a collection of several of the other packs.

Right-o, Bob! Basically, the Starter Set is nothing more than a combination of the following decks:

• Iconic Character: Apenimon (L'na Twilight) (17 cards)
• Iconic Character: Buzzsaw (Klik Tripod) (17 cards)
• Iconic Character: 201132 (Klik Roller) (17 cards)
• Iconic Character: Sarge (Apoc High-bred) (17 cards)
• Iconic Character: Taelia (L'na Dawn) (17 cards)
• Iconic Character: Toa (Apoc Churl) (17 cards)
• Aspects (Core): Basic Aspects (17 cards)
• Banes (Core): Basic Banes (35 cards)
• Hostile Hand (Core): GM's Minions (35 cards)

It provides enough for a GM and SIX PLAYERS for less than the cost of ONE other GM Core Rules Book.

I'd have gotten this, 'cept I wanted to pick up some more power diversity and begin toying with character creations/stories that way.

No problem - they're not going away! We'll have Starter Sets for as long as you want them! :D

The Started Deck is perfect to get a game rolling but as a GM if you have a player that already has a Klik roller deck the "Iconic Character: 201132, Klik Roller" in the Starter deck can be easily used as a baddie.. maybe even a Negga version of the player running his/her Klik deck. I have enjoyed MANY a fight with an evil me one of Ashy's favorite lil twists. One never knows when you might come face to face with yourself and the ensuing battle can get VERY interesting. Having duplicate decks simply means surprises for the players around MORE corners! ;)

Hi Love the game and I have ordered one of every thing. But i did not realize the starter was just a package deal of other decks that I have included in my order. I would like to cancel the order of any decks that are included i in the starter that i have also ordered individually(I do not want duplicate packs, at least not yet) Any one that I can contact to change my order before it ships? looking forward to the game!

Thanx for the info. I do not necessarily want to reduce my order but i would rather have different packs instead of the iconic characters. Spent the last 3 hours looking at the sight and was blown away by the art, concept and mechanics of this game. The back ground is just amazing. I cannot believe this has flown under my radar. Most definitely will show this to my FLGS and see if he can get a line on this.

Hi! I've just recently stumbled upon Untold and after picking my jaw up off the floor I've been reading as many of the website and forum posts as I can. What a cool concept for both the setting and rules! I look forward to getting my grubby hands on a starter deck (or two) and brainwashing, um, I mean, introducing the game to my RPG groups.

@necroloid: Have you had any success getting others to play the game? Are you a member of the Toronto Area Gamers Meetup? (http://www.torontoareagamers.com/) The group has a heavy emphasis on RPGs but also gathers for Boardgames, Video games and other stuff.

We had a C.U.B.E. in the Ontario area a few weeks back, but apparently the holidays got the better of it. Necroloid has been talking about doing another soon, however.
