Like MegaMagicMonkey, I too am a big fan of grapple-related powers, and think we need more of them.
Thus far, I've seen the following grapple-related suggestions (feel free to correct me if I missed one)
Judo Throw - MHM
Choke Hold - MHM
Head-Butt - BrantlyMedders
Suplex/Body Slam/Piledriver - BrantlyMedders
As I have not yet amassed a huge collection of cards, I'm not sure what all is possible right now. Could someone please list what I'm missing (along with which decks they come in). I know of the following:
Grapple
Grapple Attack
Push
So what other ground-fighting/grappling maneuvers are we missing? Perhaps some sort of submission hold? Or maybe a neck-snap?
Just food for thought
While you've got a hold of them, why not deliver EXTRA hurt? Definitely check out the combat decks and Apoc Amplifications (shameless plug: this deck is a must-have - there are always multiple cards that help out any combat build). But as T.O.D.D. shows, there are strange powers that can really make a grapple hurt. Other thoughts: Quills (w/poison?), or a Constrictor ability that would let a snake L'na slowly crush opponents (detachable lower jaw optional).
I also want to be able to perform suplexes and the ability to try and rip apart a foe if I have grappled them. Also, maybe a power that effects the joints. So if aimed at the arms they lose body boost and if aimed at the feet they lose mobility?
M3, I know that there are some power cards that renders an opponent immobile ( I know the L'Na have some, not sure about a physical attack though). But make sure you have the bane cards. I know there is one for immobility. While they are staples for GM's, they are also for players too.
If a character has a foe in a grapple, I'd consider that an excellent story justification to disable one of that opponent's powers. ("Okay, let's see you use that Beguiling Voice while I'm squeezing your larynx.")
Got a Suplex/Body Slam/Piledriver card submitted.
Appreciate it man. Hopefully it'll get produced and we'll finally have some wrestlers!
I'm wondering if we can come up with enough cards to make a 17-card CQC (close quarters combat) deck.
Many Hatted Man came up with chokehold.
If it's strictly CQB then how about:
Disarm
Tackle
Grievous Pull
Hand mastery (applies a bonus to the character's base damage)
Club mastery
Haymaker (does more damage as well as bonus from hand mastery, but reduced chance to hit)
Pressure Jab
Dodge
Jump Kick (extra damage but prone if it misses)
Steal
Harried (a bane that makes it so the afflicted only attacks the one that gave the bane)
Chakra punch (body atk vs soul def)
Etc.
Is there a Martial Artist card out there? That could provide bonus MAG for damage and serve as a prerequisite for many of these hot swaps. (I would love to see attacks like the Chakra Punch mentioned above, maybe other Bane-inducing Pressure Point Strikes, where your character is targeting an opponent's SOUL defense instead of BODY, which is usually pretty good on a combat-reliant foe.)
I'm not aware of one. I figured any pre-requisites could be handled by Commando Training. I suppose I like the idea of one card being able to unlock many things (like the investitures).
Okay guys, you wanted to know what is out there that works for hand-to-hand "wrestling" combat?
These are what I can tell you ARE in existence right now as usable Hot Swap Powers for that, with no prerequisites necessary:
Block
Charge
Cling
Combined Attack
Crushing Hug
Disarm
Disarm Mastery
Dogpile
Grapple
Grapple Attack
Push
Rush
Trip
...and these guys require Commando Training, but are otherwise available for use:
Killing Strike
Onslaught
Onslaught 3
Pressure Point Attack
Pressure Point Attack 3
There are ADDITIONALLY several useful Story Swap Powers for this sort of thing:
Improvised Weapon Master
Improvised Weapon Master 3
Melee Specialist
Melee Specialist 3
Strike
Strike 3
Now, you're right in that I'd love to see more "grapple combo" effects... but if you want to play a wrestler RIGHT NOW, I'd say it can certainly also be done. You may not be able to throw down the "Suplex" card right now, but a generic (and very powerful) Strike 4 can cover almost all your melee combat damage needs at the moment. When combined with abilities that cause PRONE, rip away equipment, and hurl the enemy several yards away I'd say your wrestler isn't anywhere near an impossible dream.
Do I still want to be able to put people in a Choke Hold? Oh man, absolutely. But this is just a reminder that there is already a lot out there to work with.
That really helps man, posting that list.
So then we've got some other things going. Chakra Strike got some attention. Think I'll try and think of a new name for it and post it in the card suggestion area.
MHM, that is an awesome list; it would be a big help to new players to also post links to what decks you can get said powers in. ;)
While there are plans for Martial Arts Powers in works, I do not recall offhand any close-quarters combat Powers on the design list. (I could be wrong, of course, Nathan's always tinkering and not telling me - he likes to have his own little private design space too, just like all of us...) :P
However, the best way to get these Powers looked at quickly is get them into the Untold Card Submission thread. These are really cool ideas, I have to say and I love the idea of a Close Quarters Combat Deck! :D

I wish I could help a little bit more, but unfortunately, I have limited cards, and most of what I have is Klik related or leans more towards GM's (for Ben).
However, I can tell you that you want the Core Combat deck, and I'm pretty sure you want the Apoc Amplifications. However, the the Basic Skills deck might help you out, and you might want to check out the Basic Traits as well. Those decks have some pretty cool cards that may help you.
Unfortunately, I'm not overly familiar with some of the cards, otherwise, I could tell you exactly which cards you would want and what they were in. But from what I know you are looking for, the above listed decks are going to have those types of things. I know many gamers (Ben and MHM are a couple) that can tell you what cards you want and where to find them and exactly what the card does. This is the only game that has truly drawn my attention, so my mind doesn't quite work that way. I will also remind you that there are decks in the works right now that will be released in the next few months. They try to release at least a couple each month. So if you don't see exactly what you are looking for now, it might be in production. But you will have to ask Nathan or Ashy about that. And if you have an idea for a card, feel free to share it with them. Many of the cards they have now (and are producing) were thought up by the players.
