Nothing beats a well constructed plot that engages many diffferent characters and different skills, whilst pulling them into an unraveling-yet-relentless knot. Such a game/book/movie inspires the participant to revisit and relish the experience. I feel Inception is such a film, and I propose that if you have not seen it, then do so! It made me think it was an apt movie for minds such as Untolds fabulous and insidious GMs. :)
For me, it has MANY applications for inspiration in Untold, as a quickly modified game, allow a person to build an experience purely in a mental world and then return to reality without losing experience (but perhaps items/strength/certain abilities). However, how they blend the endng makes for a stellar close to such an engaging piece, something each GM desires to see in his or her games.
Dream walking is a time honored story in many cultures. I could see L'na Twilights especially shining in this endeavor, as well as Flux monstrocities, and even Churl Shamans and other magic users. I see one potential flaw, however: Klik. Do Klik dream of steam-powered sheep? Do they even dream at all. How would a Klik function in a dreamscape.
However, its a very cool concept and one that bears developing. I agree completely with you, Benraven.
Actually, wouldn't it be a wonderful mystery to unravel if Klik were originally excluded from Dreamwalking but then a few began to manifest that ability? (I love letting players think they've gotten a handle on a given situation and then throwing a curve fast and inside.)
Perhaps Klik that used the Enigma Engine a lot might "dream" as an ill-fated side-effect. I mean, what would it be like for something that cannot dream to suddenly be able to do it, and to have some measure of control over it as well. Talk about mechanical insanity...
Klik could be considered somewhat connected, especially on the Great Machine, if in some subroutine manner. So, when they go into 'hibernate' mode, they process downloads and inferences drawn from nearby Klik or the Great Machine (one way to analyze or acquire missions). They would be orderly dreamscapes of audio-visual walkthroughs, what I would see as black and white inked-in sketches. Enigma machines, flux and mental magic users (or some metal-to-organic transformation spell) would manifest in new colors, concepts and 'filled in' dreams, that now include feelings and sensations as well. Order drawn into chaos as the boundaries break. Then just think if one such Klik shared it's dream walk with others, or even a portion of the Great Machine...
An even more nefarious use of this "Klik Connection" - the klik with Enigma Engines begin "dreaming" up odd new orders that do not come from the Great Machine, and yet they are inclined to follow them. Where are these new orders coming from? Are they merely random causalities of the Flux itself? Are they manipulations of the Flux Horrors? Or something else altogether unexplainable?
What will the Great Machine's response be?
Sounds like an awesome idea for an adventure, suren!
I like the concept of a dreamworld setting, since you can essentially do almost anything in a dream. But just as it removes limits from players, it also removes limits for the GM. Once again, another great concept from Benraven that bears developing.

For me Inception was one of the few films that lived up to the hype, something sadly lacking in "blockbusters" these days. Again agree with Untolds unique mechanics could be a good fit for an Inception based game.
