Are the images on the cards (Art or Icons) blurry or is it just the text? Let me know the cards that are off and I'll get them fixed ASAP!

Race and aspects are fine.

Power cards that are significantly more eye straining than the sharp ones. This is strictly the text portion of the cards. All the art is fine.

Resilient lvl 2, not lvl 1 (meaning this side is sharp)
Sigil of Protection lvl 6, not lvl 2 side
Racer 2 lvl 4, not lvl 2 side
Confusion lvl 6, not lvl 2 side
Charm lvl 5, not lvl 2 side
SML Net lvl 2, reverse side is art
Saw lvl 6, reverse side is art
Steam Jet lvl 2 and lvl 5 side
Strong lvl 2, not lvl 1
Lesser Regeneration 2 lvl 5, and lvl 1 side

Note: My repeat of all of my Banes are perfectly sharp

Hypotheses from patterns in blurs:
It is a perfectly consistent pattern that the higher lvl side is blurry when blur does occur. Most of the time the opposite, and lower lvl side is sharp and an even smaller amount is blurry on both sides.

Because only some of my banes, of the ones that are blurry, are blurry with duplicates that are sharp; It seems more likely that the printing process is the fault rather than any specific card being at fault.

Total of 33 cards out of 189 blurry.

My NAU Light Combat Armor's description says,

"Armor that urilizes both basllistic armor and old fashion steel plates because you don't know what you'll be facing next"

"urilizes" should be "utilizes".

Yes, I have some blurry cards too. I think I only have 1 or 2 that enough so that it might cause eye strain. Most of them are only 'blurry' when seen beside a sharp card, so they're definitely usable.

I concur it is only the text, but the odd thing I noticed: the blur factor seems to increase as you go from left-to-right. And it is 'out-of-focus' like, in that it is similar to that, as if a contact negative lifted in printing. And I have several occurrences of cards via the Starter Set where some instances are blurry and others not, so I learn towards printing being the issue, versus camera art.

Hoping that helps in the diagnosis. Please let me know if you need any information.

Most helpful, Bob - thanks so much! I spoke with the printer about this today - it's being worked. So much so that all our future cards (starting next week) will be printed on a nice new printer with 2400x2400 print resolution!!!! :D

I'm beginning to think the back-up at the printer has been a blessing in disguise...come to me crisp, clean cards :)

On one hand, I want to put an order in for the rest of the currently-available decks this weekend, just to have them on the way (and take advantage of the 15% discount), and on the other I would like to wait for any hiccups to be resolved. Decisions, decisions. :)

LOL - I've been assured that all new orders will be printed on the new printer. NOT that this means, of course, that those cards will be perfect... However, feel free to place your next order! :)

Let's just say that we blurry card people have the amazing RARE cards, that get 30UP on every card slightly blurry. That way we can lord it over those sharp card people and find glory in something lol...

were you guys also selling the blurry cards at Mobicon, because I have a good bunch that are like that. They are fine, I'm not gonna complain about them, actually, Its not so much blurry actually as it looks more double printed. that is why I notice it more on text than the pictures.

Are the images blurry too, gixxy? We certainly would not have been selling them if we KNEW they were there! :)

Yeah, the whole card is, but to see it with the pictures you have to have a magnifying glass(and know what your looking for). I only noticed with the text because text is small. so its easy to see that it is double printed.

Several of my cards purchased at Imagicon are in various states of blurriness. I don't know if you've switched to your new printer yet, or if you're also selling off old stock, but the problem persists. I consider this to basically be proof of having purchased "first run" cards, obviously, and intend to keep them just in case they ever hit "Black Lotus" levels of value. =P

I have a friend who is in the printing business, and I'll try and run the cards by him this weekend and see what his professional opinion is. It seems like a problem with the printing process somewhere, and he might be able to shed more light on the quandary.

We've pretty much located the source of the issue, but it never hurts to have another set of expert eyes on an issue. We're working diligently to correct the issue so our cards are as awesome as they should be! :)

Actually, I've got the exact problem with my set of cards. And when I say Exact, I mean...EXACTLY. All the cards that LigHt posted are the same set of blurred cards that I have. Again, none are unplayable, and it's certainly not a huge problem, but one that I hope has already been avoided and I just happen to get the rare box that has it. I'll certainly take Black Lotus value for those cards though. ;)

Again, not a huge problem, but shedding more light to the situation.
