I just picked up the starter set (PDF) and Bad Beginnings Alpha (PDF) and I have a couple of questions.
1. What are the guidelines for the basic capabilities of characters (e.g. lift, throw, move) that do not have power cards that enhance these?
2. Large: This power allows a character to lift 450 lbs x MAG 4 = 1,800 lbs (0.9 tons). However in the parenthesis it states 1.8 tons. This is correct if you use the body boost on the card, but Large is not boostable. Is Large supposed to be boostable (or at least the strength portion)? (Note: The same thing occurs on Huge and Gargantuan as well.)
3. Overcome rolls: since boosts can only be used once per turn, if you need to make multiple overcome rolls of the same type in a round only one will benefit from the boost. Is this correct?
I also have one small annoyance with the PDF starter set. There are two copies of Blind in the PDF but the effect text is missing on one copy.

Thank you for your purchase, and we have answers!
1. The basic strength capabilities are: average lift is 100 lbs; max lift 200 lbs; Push [5X Lift], Max Throw [200 lbs - 5 ft]. We'll be adding this to the Primer.
2. You caught some errata - I'm sorry to say. Large is supposed to be equivalent to Strong 3; Huge and Strong 5; Gargantuan and Strong 7. Including the Boost text.
Thus the cards should have the following boost text:
For every 1 Body Boost add 1 to MAG.
Then number in the parenthesis is supposed to be correct. We are very sorry for the error, but we are working to get it fixed. We have a new deck in development: "Size Matters" that will have all the size cards and it will feature the updated cards. Until then, we will post this as an errata and work to update the PDFs. We will also update our print files so that every new deck should be correct.
3. That is correct - you can only add your Boost to one overcome roll. You can still roll for the other overcomes, but it is an unmodified roll.
Thank you - UP and and your next month of Elite membership is free!
